The = steering shaft is kept secured in the column on the steering wheel end = with an E clip, thrust washer and the upper bearing is lightly preloaded = with what the service manual calls a "Wave Washer." Well I screwed up and managed to lose the wave washer. GM no longer = stocks the part. Does anyone have one of these Wave Washers they don't = need or anyone know where I can get one? More important, The Bird ( up on jack stands ) made it too. Here's my problem. The previous owner have "jimmy" rigged the whole front end. Can some body tell me about the following : 1- Does the wiring harness run on the top of the core support ? 2- I'm missing ( I think ) the lower bracket ( ? ) that supports the grills ( need one ) 3- Anybody got a lower valance for sale ? 4- Anybody got a front bumper for sale ? 5- Is there some kind of brace for the fender extension's ? 6- I only have one horn located on the center hood latch support. I have two wire, 1 going to the center horn, and one located nearer the drivers side. Is there supposed to be 2 ? Where does the other one mount ?
