(back) Subject: RE: Sway Bar Kits From: "Mace" <macef@optonline.net> Date: Fri, 13 Apr 2001 22:37:32 -0400   Dear Kelly, I have installed the Hotchkis Sway Bar Kit. This kit is great because it comes with swivel end links which dont bind up like the inexpensive = kits. The rear was simple to bolt in with some minimal drilling. The performance difference was exceptional..well worth the money..here is the link http://hotchkis.net Relate to the Camaro section..same setup...If you are interested, I have a brand new set of Bilstein performance shocks that Bilstein just started making exclusively for hotchkis that fits our birds. Mace 69 355 Drop-Top     Hello Everyone,   Has anyone installed a front or rear sway bar kit on their Firebird? What was your experience? Any preferred suppliers?   I am thinking of installing them on my 69.   Thanks,   Kelly VanderPloeg 1969 Firebird 400 Sport Coupe
(back) Subject: Re: was Fuel Question/now intake problem From: "matt schmid" <schmidmj@hotmail.com> Date: Sat, 14 Apr 2001 02:41:52   John, it was leaking on the front passenger side of the intake manifold, right where the water goes from the manifold to the block. I guess the gasket was so shot that it didn't even take pressure to cause it to leak. Also it was leaking all the way in the back on the same side. I replaced = the gasket today, and tried cranking it. There are still some things I need to =   adjust, like timing and the carburetor. It cranked up twice and sputtered then just died out.   About the manual, which Pontiac manual should I get and how and where do I =   get it?? Thanks.   Matt 68 350 coupe     >From: "John Wern" <jwern@charter.net>   >Hey man - It's all good. But I dont get what's leaking. (Just by = putting >water in the radiator??) (back) Subject: Re: Hood hinge springs From: "Andy" <fbird68@ix.netcom.com> Date: Sat, 14 Apr 2001 01:29:29 -0700   Chris,   My 400 hood stayed all the way up until I oiled the hinges. After the oil, the hood would really droop. GM replacement springs from CI didn't help. Replacement hinges from CI didn't help. Putting the old springs on the new hinges corrected the problem almost completely. I'm guessing that the original hinges were loose and the replacement springs were for a lighter (Camaro?) GM hood.   As stated earlier, a pair of Channel Locks is all you need to replace the springs. To replace the hinges, I supported the hood with a strong extendable paint roller handle. Put a heavy cloth around each corner as you replace each spring so you don't risk scratching your paint.   Andy     > Subject: Hood hinge springs > From: "Chris Porter" <fxstsb@qwest.net> > Date: Thu, 12 Apr 2001 09:48:15 -0700 > > Anybody ever change a set of hood hinge springs ?
