From: "Eric Heinrich" <ericheinrich@hotmail.com> Date: Sat, 12 May 2001 17:45:08   Hey all,   Took the 'bird to New England Dragway in Epping NH for the first time = ever. The car is a 67 400 coupe, rebuilt motor but the rebuild was pretty close = to stock. Stock carb, heads, block, intake & exhuast manifolds. 2.5" exhaust from the manifold back. 3.08 open rear axle.   Pizza-cutter radial street tires and I pulled off a 13.759 @ 100.33 mph!!!   I'll have a pic for you all soon. What a blast!   Eric 67 400 coupe in Boston   http://www.bmw.williamsf1.com/   _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com

(back) Subject: Glove Box Door Emblem From: "Gary Patrick" <Gary@tcworks.net> Date: Sat, 12 May 2001 15:42:19 -0400     Subject: Glove Box Door Emblem From: "John Moore" <sirsaber@mcn.net> Date: Fri, 11 May 2001 22:15:29 -0600   Can anyone tell me the exact location of the glove box door emblem on a 1968? Thank you.   John Moore 1968 Coupe CarID=3D127   John it was kinda iffy for 68s to have this. It seemed to disappear later in year but yet some later cars with Custom trim option still had it. It was in the same location as 67s. I can do a rub off and fax it if you want a template for drilling. Gary

From: "Bob Trimpe" <fyrebird68@hotmail.com> Date: Sat, 12 May 2001 22:46:41 -0400   Chuck Leavell it the original of a special-order 68 400 with air, pictured =   on my website:   href=3D"http://www.geocities.com/bobtrimpe/Page7Indyshow.html">http://www.g= eo cities.com/bobtrimpe/Page7Indyshow.html   He told me the story of ordering it. Seems he wanted a 400 4-speed with = A/C. The factory told him he couldn't get a 400 4-speed with air, but he could get it with the automatic. That's what he ordered. I would guess that the same =   restriction applied to ramair cars ( and to 1969 cars, too)   BTW, he also told the factory to delete the hood tach, because he now was getting an automatic, and they also deleted the rally gauges (seems they were a package)     >From: "Stuart Langer" <stumann1@mindspring.com> > > > I was told that 1969 RAM AIR 3 and 4 engines did not have A/C as an >option >and I've never seen a RAM AIR engine with A/C.
