I am restoring a 67 Firebird coup. My body was badly rusted so the guy that is helping me, recommended that I get rid of my body and find a body that is solid - much cheaper in the long run (firewall back is what I need). I hate to do it, but hoping someone has a good one out there for a good price. I have everything else all ready to go.

Not sure what would be involved, but might consider a vert body also.

Note: I bought a very solid 68 body thinking that it was an easy swap, but there was enough things different that I may be interested in trading or selling the 68 body.

Thanks,
Mark

What kind of money are you talking? Also, you cant place the tags from a hardtop on a convertible body. that is a no-no.

I originally paid $2,800 because it was a solid body and had the rear quarters replaced with original OEM panels (still had the GM stickers on the inside), but may consider less depending on what I find locating a 67 body. The only thing to note was that one quarter was a Firebird and one was a Camaro. My plan was to patch the two side markers to make my 67 Firebird so it didn't matter to me.

The car is at another guys place that was helping me work on it so I will take some photos of the 68 body and post them in the next few days.

You could also consider getting a Dynacorn '67 Camaro body and put the rear quarters and rear tail pan from a Firebird.
