Just a note to the same person (initials W.P.) who has contacted me twice via email...but doesn't seem to be getting my emails in return (check your SPAM folder maybe?):
YES, the car is still for sale. The price has not and will not change. I hope to retire in 5 to 10 years, so I'll just save it as a nice retirement project to wait for me to finish if I can't get my $10K now.
I do not care to post my phone number here on the internet for the world to see, but I did email you my phone number in return. Call me anytime. Or if you are not receiving my emails, please email me again and include your phone number, and I will be glad to call you back on my dime.
Alternately, please send me a PM through this forum as I do check them a least weekly. I will gladly PM you my phone number in return. I'd very much like to talk to you and have you come check out the car if you have a serious interest.
Thanks!

Pontiac dying is not gonna make Pontiacs boom and go up in value. Olds has been dead now for a few years and yes they went up in value only on various cars (the rare one's HO's W-30's etc.)
But that was just because the collector car hobby was taking off and thanks to BJ for making some of them skyrocket so high the average buyer couldn't afford one.
Now that the economy crunch has hit, everything has taken a hit to some extent. The rarer cars not as much, but the buyers able to buy have been limited as well. jmho

Just bumping for the sake of bumping. Been over a year since I posted this for sale. Car is still here, still untouched from my description, still willing to sell, still not motivated to drop the price any further, still happy to let it sit a few more years until I get the time and gumption to continue the restoration I started almost a decade ago...
Just a friendly reminder in case you're new here, and in case a machine like this might happen to tickle your fancy...
$10K

Now that Pontiac is defunct, how will values of these cars be impacted in the future??? Just one last friendly bump and then I'll let this ad dribble down the pages of this forum to be gone forever. I guess the post hit an air bubble on it's way dribbling down the pages of the forum towards obscurity. P.S. Doesn't seem like another year of Pontiac being defunct has added any extra value to the price of the cars. Your still asking $10K. I'd try putting it on Ebay.

LOL. I forgot I wrote that! Guess it did "hit an air bubble" and came back up to the top by my own hand..
Yeah, I'm still asking $10K. Proving I'm still not very motivated to sell for less at this time. But spending 10 seconds on giving it a bump felt like the right thing to do...so I did it. Just never know when someone might come along who may be looking for something like I have here. Or when (of if) the market for these cars might start to reverse it's downward trend.
Ebay is always in the back of my mind, as I use it a LOT for buying and selling things large and small. So if I ever happen to get more serious than I am now, about getting this thing it out of the garage in a hurry, I'll very likely use Ebay and will give this post ANOTHER bump at that time...
I'm simply not ready to do that yet. Maybe next year...maybe earlier, maybe never. Oh wait...I gotta remember to never say never or someone might call me out...

I know you lost interest but I'm sure that you do realize that if you would just (not sure if the word "just" is the right word) make this car rolling again (as in rolling chassis)not absolutely fully welded but partial welds with everything lined up correctly and the car back on it's wheels, it could sell for your first asking price within a week or two. That could mean 50 or so hours of work for you but once done, you would be glad you did it. But I do know that once you've lost interest in something, it's not easy to get back at it. Just a thought.
Frank.

Yes. I agree completely. And what you describe is probably pretty close to how this story is going to end. With one exception:
If (probably when) I decide to go ahead and spend 50 hours (though with my tendency toward perfection it will probably turn it into more like 250 hours) bringing this back to a solid rolling chassis..it means my interest in the car will have been somewaht renewed, and being rolling will fire me up even more to keep going, which means the car will no longer be for sale because I'll be motivated to just put it back on the road for my own enjoyment...
As I have said since the day I first posted this car for sale: SOMEDAY...and probably after I retire...I will continue working on this car. ESPECIALLY if the value has tanked on these machines to the point that they are no longer very desirable, (which actually seems to be happening, and especially so for a non-numbers-matching car like mine featured here.) When that day comes, I will put it back on the road with some performance enhancements that I couldn't afford as a kid, and I will feel free to BEAT THE SNOT outta this car, just like I did to so many others back when I was a teenager...with no fear of wrecking or breaking the car because there will be little monetary value to lose.
That's how these cars are supposed to be treated IMO. I'm rather pleased that this one is NOT a museum piece, and never will be...
And so it continues. I think my position is fairly clear to anyone who might be contemplating a project. For $10K I'm willing to let it go as-is. But if nobody feels it is worth that much, that's quite all right. I missed the 2005-2007 price bubble all us owners loved watching so much, and I'm fine with that. I'm certainly not dissappointed to just keep it for when that day comes when I'm looking for something to putter with...
