Has anyone used the repo 69 front fenders? How is the quality? I thought I read that they were poor at best but can't find any old threads on that. My right front seems to be much worse than I initially thought. Thanks.

I used the repo fenders. I purchased mine from PY. I'd use them again. It took some work to get them to align properly. It's also my understanding that ANY fender not original to the car requires substantial work to align and fit properly.
We sell those parts. I haven't gotten to that point on my bird yet, so I can't really say for sure. The parts from goodmark and dynacorn claim to be made from the same molds GM/Ford/Mopar used. The biggest problem is the fact that most people are expecting the parts to be a direct bolt-on and fit like a show car. They don't realize that they are matching new metal to 40 year old metal. Bodies sag and frames may be twisted or out of wack. Now I can tell you that we just bolted on a goodmark hood on my bother-in-law's '76 Z-28. The hood looked and felt solid. It was well built and matched all the body lines. It bolted on and fit between the fenders. Now, it is up to us to fit the gaps. Hope this helped some.
I tried to use repo fenders. At first I was able to get the gap at the doors to be acceptable but when I tried to get the nose parts to fit - no way. I messed with then for a long time before I gave up and used my original fenders. I don't know how anyone can get repo 69 fenders to fit correctly.
it will all depend on how many accidents the car has been in,how much abuse the car absorbed in it's 40 yr life, how many times it has been restored, and who knows what other variables there could be.i had a hard time getting an original fender fitting my 69 bird when i had to replace it.these cars were not built with todays technology.you need to know how to customise any part you use that is not original to any body.there is never a direct bolt on fit.that is why i am an advocate for everybody to take their cars to someone that is extremely experienced in doing body work on older cars.it is not like the direct bolt on repairs you see on new cars of today
We put one on a 69 camaro and it lined up ok. The door gap was larger and didn't quite fit the curve the same. The car is a nice car and its not noticed (by other camaro guys) but I see it!! It was a PITA and needed more shims than the original. I don't know why we didn't just have it fixed as it was only a big dent. Also no emblem holes....
