I have a 10k budget, looking for a 1st gen bird. What's out near Hagerstown, MD?

At today's prices, I don't think you'll find anything decent for $10k--maybe a roller with a good title, that needs quarter panels, floor & trunk pans, and complete interior. And finding one close to home will probably be a lot harder. A decent driver will probably be close to $20 or more. More '69's were built. So, I would assume it might be possible to find a better price on a '69. Most all the decent buys have been bought. There are a lot of guys lookin for these cars, to turn a profit. That makes finding a good buy almost impossible.

But good luck, anyhow. smile

Well, the link don't work. But Ebay has quite a few 1st gens listed.

Be patient, be diligent in searching multiple times a day and be prepared to spend more money to get exactly what you want...

Hello Chester, I talked to a guy last year in Pa that had a 69 vert for sale, family owned. if I remember right, he wanted about 9k for it. I wont broadcast the towns name but I will send you a pm and you can call me.

I remember the pic of the house and driveway, dont know if he sold it or not. I would imagine someone snapped that up , but who knows.

PM sent, bill v

I just sold a disc brake, a/c hardtop with unmolested deluxe interior complete with original radio, no motor or tranny for $5,000. Included new aftermarket front fenders and 400 hood, needed rear quarter work and paint, so deals are out there just need to look and with the bad economy in a lot of areas you should expand your search area

I've got a 69 hardtop all matching numbers. 350 3speed, brought it home last fall. I've got it some what tore down right now. But runs and drives when back together. I put new partial rear frame rails, drivers side rocker panel in it. Have a new full size trunk pan and all new rear well tubs to put in it. Just haven't had time till winter gets here. I've already redone the rear end and put all new rear brake shoes, parts and lines in it. I've got the rear drivers side quarter panel cut away now but again till winter gets here before I put a new one on. Will need a new full floor pan out in yet and some other things. $5500.00. I'm in Ohio tho. But if interested just pm me and I can tell more. Chris

I have a 69 Firebird convertible. It is a roller, that has no rust. The body work is done ( the right way) no plastic. It has been primed and one shot of verdoro green is on the car at this point. The front clip has been powder coated, as well as the upper and lower control arms, a quick ratio steering box has been installed, wilwood disc brakes have been installed all around. It comes with Hotchkiss sway bars, subframe connectors, convertible brace. Front springs are new Hotchkiss, rear springs are new Hotchkiss sport leafs with a 1.5 in drop, Front spindles are Hotchkis 2 inch drop. Rear is a brand new 342 Moser, Turbo 400 trans rebuilt and beefed up take 500 up. Gas tank is new and powder coated. I think I have listed everything. I live in Montvale NJ. I'm selling because my daughter is going to college in a year... I' ll have pictures by the end of February, the car is in my garage with stuff all around it (not on it).
