I need to replace both top (left/right) door hinge pins/bushings. I've looked around and wanted to hear what others have to say. This is no way a "correct" restoration. Just want something that's a good quality and will last. I absolutely hate paying over the top prices to ship. It's looking like $10 just to ship two pins?? You gotta be kidding me!! I get free shipping off Amazon but can't seem to find them there. Restoration World by me has some, but im sure they are the up most of crap. Just wanted to get my ducks in a row before a bought some.
Thanks Kyle

Done dozens of rebuilds. To have nice tight hinges you have to replace the pins too, just changing bushings won't do. The pins wear out too. If your worried about concourse then you have to find someone that has the ability to crimp the barbs on the end of the pins that hold the pins in. Don't know if anyone really gives 2 cents about how the hinge pins look.
Yeah, was going to replace pins and bushings. Guess I didn't make that clear. Did you like any better than the rest?

Sorry , dont know about the firebirds pins, but if you have an old Studebaker....the pins from third seat in a 80s Volvo stn wagon works! did that way back
Pretty sure the pins and bushings come from all the same place. Got mine from napa. Another thing you have to watch is sometimes the hole that the bushings are in gets worn out and the bushings move around. So you have to weld up the holes and drill and file to make them perfect.
I'll put an end to this thread. I ended up using a pin and bushing kit from restoration world. Kit was for two upper hinges and only $6. I already replaced both sides. Parts were just fine. Just had to cut some length off the pins after they were installed. http://www.chevroletrestorationworld.com/
Thanks guys, Kyle
