Isn't it a simple as shortening up the hose forward of the support?

Harold, those didn't come in a OER packaging, did they? That's what I got and the rubber is crap, they pull right through the staples, but that rubbers looks a little different in the pics and looks like it might be a stiffer rubber?
Ok, it is strange to me how Ames show the 69 as being different then the 67-68 splash shields. Every where else the same shields are listed for 67-69 and look like the ones shown in the above post. If you look at the build manual for the 69 it has two pages and shows both for the 69, now I am very confused if Ames is correct or not?
