I am in need of the dash carrier panel. This is the metal frame that holds the dash bezel, with holes for heater controls, radio, etc. 69's are unique. My center section was chopped up to fit an after market stereo. I am installing an original dash bezel and radio to fit. Does anyone have either the carrier panel, or even just the center section? I could weld in the center section. I need a piece that still has the holes for the radio knobs, with the crossmembers for the radio not cut. Thanks.
Thanks for looking. I did what I could on the interior, then took it to a pro for the dash. We aren't going to be able to put her back together without it. I found a few on ebay, "1969, original, good condition. They all had been butchered for a stereo. Just a big hole in the middle. This guy lets me work with him, so I will be there all day. I'm in Minnesota, where we have 3 weeks of convertible weather left. I will check the board again tonight. I can't figure out how to view my PMs on here, so it would be best if you e-mail me. davidbutler123@msn.com. 952-451-9456
I found it, Unfortunatly after years in the scrap pile it's bent all to hell, not worth trying to save. Sucks it was the whole radio section. Sorry that was my last parts car. Wish I could remember who wanted it to start with

Yours might be usable. Right now our plan is to straighten and use the left hole for the radio. The right is missing, and my guy said he will try to make a piece. He will then have to fab the small crosspiece, too. Bent to hell or not, what you have might be better/more usable than what we are working with. He may be able to straighten out and use part of what you have, with less than work than fabbing the whole section. He will weld in what ever is usable, which I bet is faster than making things.
I'll take what you have, if you don't mind sending it.
Not sure how it got this bad but it was in scrap pile for years, I think it's trashed, I scrapped my other 2 parts cars a couple years ago so none left

Jerry, I was asking some time ago on here and if I recall correctly you didn't know where it was at that time? If daveb57 doesn't want it, I am interested. I have been restoring my car and with my added welding skills I could make a template off of this piece. I could use it. Let me know.
