Hard to imagine the rotors contacting the calipers unless the pads are all but gone. The bearings would have to be pretty loose to get that kind of play but it's a good place to start. 29,000 miles and all the good options, not even broken in yet. I'm jealous.
This looks like an aftermarket rotor & hub assembly? It also looks like it has been wearing for quite awhile... I think you will have to swap it out for a different brand. When we restored our bird I think the rotors we got were Wagners. They were a much closer fit in that area compared to the oem rotors, but did fit ok. You will also want to inspect your caliper real close. How is the other side? I will try and post the pic up for you, Cal
Took everything apart. Nothing wrong. I think that the rotor is not made for dual piston caliper but I never heard the grinding until now. I think I have to go back to a 2 piece rotor. I need that gap. Thanks!
I went to wagners website. They call for a BD 60232. When I go to some of the Pontiac part sites. They list that number but they reference a different rotor for 4 piston calipers. Do you remember if you used that Wagner one? It's half the price.
I will see if I can track that number down for you. It was several years ago and I no longer have the car (here). Pretty sure I got it at Advance Auto. Cal
I could not locate any of the records. I presume that I gave them to my son along with the FSM's. So, a couple ideas: 1. Send an email to Wagner, and Raybestos, and anyone else asking for that measurement of the outside hub. 2. Take your rotors to a machine shop and have the hubs shaved down a bit. I do not know if a brake lathe could do this or not - or if you could get anyone with a brake lathe to do it... Cal
