I had new springs installed during the restoration. However, I believe I purchased Chevy big block springs, which sit the front end up too high. Does anyone have a recommendation on replacement springs? My mechanic is recommending installing 2" drop spindles.
Thanks in advance

Add more weight to the engine, a supercharger maybe?

I cut one full turn off my coils...lowered it 1 inch in the front....did mine to get a better looking 'rake' on the car....

A big, tall, shinney supercharger sticking through a hole in the hood would be nice. Think anyone would say it takes away from the factory stock look? There was a 1,200 HP 68 at the car show in Sydney this year with the supercharger in front of the windshield, it had a chebby engine. Sigh!
Love the Buick Rallye rims, I've got a few sets of them.

and not sure about the 1 or 2 inches lowering, but my fender opening became about 1 inch lower to the ground...no rubbing...only IF I hit a bump in a turn, I had a slight rub, but with the original chrome/stainless wheel opening, no problem...I first had an after mkt trim on one side, that did not work , as it stopped short, was not as wide piece , tire grabbed it , tore it out...with the original style(more $$) it would not grab, just rub....glide.
One last question before I start on this project. Does anyone have the factory height from the bottom of the fender to the floor if using factory tires and rims on a 67 Bird?
Thanks

That may be hard to find. You could check the AMA specs for body dimensions I think that will tell you the height of the rockers and calculate from there.
