Is there a trick to replacing the hard fuel line (pre-bent) between the fuel pump and carb on a 350? I'm having a hell of a time getting it in position.... Any hints? Do I need to remove water pump, etc to get better access?
No trick just lots of patients and a 6 pack. Just twist and turn, may have to loosen the alternator bracket and leave the line loose on the carb when you tighten the nut on the fuel pump then tighten the nut on the carb. Try from top to feed it though or start from bottom, its trial and error but it WILL go in there.
I got the old one out, so I "know" it can be done. I was able to top feed it last night, but haven't been able to manipulate it into the right position to be connected - I guess I'll go back at it tonight with some liquid lubrication (for me).
