Yes it is a great feeling to get it to this stage. I will be going back to the leather interior it is actually in ok shape. The leather panels of the seats are dry and split in areas but the rest are in decent shape the only hurdle will be the door panels.. I have just about every other sub assemblies of the car already restored so it will just be assembling a big model! The first to do is slide the drive train in and then the heating and AC system; once the drive train is mostly installed I'll assemble the front sheet metal around it. So any advice you can offer I’ll take it..
I'm getting pretty frustrated with the painter; he sprayed 2 coats on the front sheet metal Monday. I asked him about painting it at two separate times and he said he was going to install the front end and spray it all complete. I found out he sprayed the main body, doors and deck lid last night. Metallic painted cars need to have all panels sprayed at the same time so I'm going to have a talk with him tomorrow and if even the slightest bit off I'm not taking it home he's gotta fix it! The guy just has a piss poor attitude in general and it's dampening my party a bit.
I'm felling better with that bronze bird on the home page though !!
