Just got her started on Wednesday and took the first drive in two years today! It was great until I stopped for gas and the lower radiator hose clamp failed shooting radiator fluid all over the engine bay. Still can't get the smile off of my face.
WOW, nice! I didn't realize you were so far along. You snuck right up on it. I wonder if you took a picture of the faces of ten people who had just driven their Birds after restoring them if we would all look like twins? That same grin from ear to ear. I got news for ya, the grins keep coming back every time you drive it.
thumbs up! I just flipped through the pics of your photobucket account. Very inspirering. And reminds me a lot of my own never-ending-story of restoring my bird. Even the fact that the engine´s block first was painted the wrong non-metallic blue and then changed to the correct color could be out of my book. Been there, done that...

VERY nice indeed!
Can't even imagine what it's like to restore a car in Germany. Respect!
Nice job Aaron. Feels good to be back on the road I bet! What size tires you running? They look like a good fit.
Very nice job, Aaron. I'm glad to hear you made it with plenty of the driving season still ahead of you. Hopefully I'm not that far behind you - I'm shooting to be "done" by Aug 15th.

Good work Aaron! I know very well the sh!thouse grin effect....just earned mine a few months ago. Still have it on every time I pull it out and drop the clutch and roar away!
Also great to get all those thumbs up when cruisin around !
