I bought a front power disc upgrade from Fatrodder on eBay, but it did not come with directions. Does anyone have a step-by-step set of directions for this process?
Is this upgrade something that can be done by a fairly inexperienced person if I have a set of good directions?
If you're not sure about what you're doing maybe it would be better to get some help with the job. IT IS YOUR BRAKES AFTERALL. Your life WILL depend on them.
I went looking for downloadable (PDF) instructions from the various larger front disk conversion companies. SSBC did not have anything and Master Power Brakes (where I got mine) looked like they did, but you can only access their Tech section if you are a customer (using your phone number). I'v move since I got my set and can't remember the old number.
Here's something from the DIY network for a '68 Camaro that might help:
2012 Mustang Boss 302 #1918, Competition Orange. FGF replacement 2006 Mustang V6 Pony, Vista Blue. Factory ordered. 2019 BMW X3 (Titled to the wife, but I'm always driving it for her. So I'm claiming it) Old projects, gone but not forgotten: 1967 FB 400, original CA car. After 22 years of work, trashed by the guy who was supposed to paint it. I had to sell it. 1980 Turbo Trans Am 1970 Mustang fastback, 351C 4Bbl, auto 1988 Mustang GT, 5 speed 1983 F-150 4x4, built 302 1994 Chevy K2500 HD 4x4, 454 TBI
OK, change that. I found my old receipts and phone number. I have Master Power's web site open and have access to all their intallation PDF's. My kit was with slotted rotors and replaced the spindles along with the power booster and master cylinder
If you PM me with a description of your kit and an e-mail address, I can either send my kit's PDF or find something closer from MP Brakes.

How about the wheel bearings? The instructions say "With the wheel bearings packed and installed on the new rotor,...". I'm fuzzy on the bearings. Do the races get pressed onto the spindles?
The spindle is just a naked spindle. The races are pressed into the rotor, the bearings insert into the races as the rotor is assembled to the spindle. Pack the bearings before installation.

You should have bearings for both inner and outer. If you haven't done a set of brake conversion wait till you have to bled the monsters ! I used speed bleeders, work like a charm when you the one man mechanic in the garage.
