Anyone know anything about this pulley? It has a 3/4" center hole. I think it's a Chevy but I couldn't find much on it. The number might be 699961 no letters.
Hello you must be talking about the one on ebay. I can only offer the following.
It’s depth looks like a long pump this makes it 68 – 82
It’s shape looks like 68 – 74
If one is 6 1/4 in diameter it is a std low hp type and not a deep grove but may look like one
The ad says it is 7 1/8 in diameter so it is pre 74 and most likely an hp type.
Non smog so non california car?
GM type but model unknown.
They used larger diameter pulleys on high hp cars to turn the pump more slowly because of the increased rpm of hp engines. It also helps keep the belt on.
The extra groove is either for double alt pulley or p/s.
I bought the one on ebay because it was described as being a 9799130 7-1/4” dia and 2-3/4” deep. What I got was a #196669 7-1/8” dia 3-1/8 deep and a 3/4” center hole. I can’t find much info on this pulley but I can’t use it anyway so it's going back. The 9799130 pulley is supposed to be the same as a 9799127 except the 130 is 7-1/4” dia and the 127 is 8” dia. I have been researching for correct pulleys to use with an 11 bolt WP in my 68 FB. I realize I will need to tweak the correct 68 alternator bracket slightly. The engine is in the process of being rebuilt so I can’t check anything yet. From what I’ve researched I need a 9790846 crank pulley which I have and a 9799127 WP pulley. The 9799130 would have been a relatively cheap replacement with only the dia being different. Did Pontiac use different center hole sizes? I need a 5/8" center hole. And the fun never ends…… I did research on this site for the new WP and went with a Gates on Amazon (GAT43102). What a great deal. All brand new cast iron case and impellor delivered for $28.75
