I recently bought a 1969 firebird and In the deal was two hoods. One is a original hood for a 1969 FIrebird 400. It has the hood scoops and badges. It's not perfect but very restorable. I was curious what it's worth. I know the remand factored ones are going for $350/$450 on eBay. Thanks chris
I have seen them go for as low as $100, and as high as $600.
It mostly depends on condition and how long someone local to you have been looking for one.
Shipping is a PITA, and could be $200+ just for that. Due to shipping costs, Epay ones generally sell for less unless you get lucky with a buyer within driving distance.
When you advertise it, make sure you identify if it is a '67 hood, or a '68-'69 hood.
Good luck!

I'm interested in the hood if it's an actual 1969 400 hood. PM me a price and some pics. I can possibly meet you half way or just come pick it up if it's worth it. Thanks, Rick
I ended up not being the hood home Rick. After looking at it closer the frame under the skin was in pretty bad shape so I traded for other stuff. Chris
Chris, thanks for the reply. I've got a 69 conv. I'm restoring so if you've got anything I might be interested I'm looking for quite a few parts. Especially all window glass! Rick
Rick, I don't have any window glass. Really the only things I have xtra is a regular hood. I think it's a aftermarket one at that. A trunk lid and a four barrel intake manifold that is dated for 1969. i know you can buy the glass out of classic industries or Ames if you haven't checked those places yet. Chris
I have a few sets of glass for '68-'69. Shipping is always the fun issue.

68tpls400, What all glass do you have? I need doors, quarters and windshield. My car does have power windows and I've been told that makes a difference, that they have different part numbers than a non pw car. Don't really know for sure but would like to know. Thanks, Rick

I have two or three sets of door glass from '68 non power window cars. I am not aware of any difference to power window glass, but i am not positive. I think i have one set of coupe quarter window glass. No convertible rear quarter glass left.
