I was just thinking.. Scarlet turned 50 a couple of weeks ago, and I missed it!
Second week of '67, Norwood car.
Happy Birthday Scarlet! I'll have to take her for a drive tonight. Left all alone in the garage on her birthday. How cruel!
Likely a bunch of upcoming 50 years this fall / winter!

I just realized that I got my bird on the road after 15 years the same week it was born. First week of June, 50 years later! WOW, that must be some type of sign...
The build date will be a two digit and one letter code on the cowl tag. The digits represent month of build and the letter represents week of the month.
My cars are 11E and 03C.
11 = November E = 5th week, in this case the 29th-31st of November Because it is a '68 model year car, it was made in November of '67.
03 = March C = 3rd week or the 15th - 21st Also a '68 model year car, it was produced in March of '68

I'd like to determine my '68's birthday. How do I decode?
I use the date that the billing record (via PHS) was cut by GM. Agreeing with Wovenweb, mine was manufactured 01D which is the forth week of January or 1/22-28, however, I reasoned that "the job's not done 'till the paperwork's complete". The factory invoice was issued 1/29/68, the Monday after week four.
Note that the original Protecto-Plate was cut on 1/30/68.
