Hello everyone. Just wanted to ask who out there has experience with coil over shocks for front and rear. I am putting together show type car. 69 Firebird. I have speed tech tubular a-arms. Leaning towards Viking brand sold by Speedtech. Want to know stuff like , are coil over as comfortable as regular shocks and so on. I will be driving this car also. Not just trailer car. Please let me know what you think if you have experience with coil overs, any brand. Thank you.

Be careful, one change leads to another and before long you have a Frankenstein. The Firebird was not designed for coil overs so expect more stress on the inner wheel house shock tower with coil overs installed. The rear end is very light compared to the front. A heavy car would benefit from coil overs. I guess if your replacing your coils and shocks with coil over shocks that may work better.

Thank u. I would be replacing both front and rear with complete coil over shock and spring kit. The speed tech upper and lower control arms I have accept either stock way or coil over way. More input from someone with coil over coversion would be great. Ofcourse all and any input greatly appreciated. ALSO I DO HAVE STOCK SUBFRAME.
I have the single adjust coil over QA1's on the front of my car along with QA1's in the back and lowering leaf springs. If I had a chance to do it over again I would have installed the front coil over kit where you cut out the top of the pocket and weld in a new mounting location. But, I am very happy with how my car handles.
