So we were at the concours last weekend at Ironstone Vineyards in Murphys. We get parked and all situated and when I finally look up there is a 69TA parked just up the lawn. Of course at first I figure it's a clone but after getting a better look at it it just may be a real deal. I believe the owner said he bought it at BJ auction n Vegas about 4 years ago. Nicely done car. Had the stripe painted over the spoiler. Parchment white std interior, 4sp, console, no gauges, 50/50 cowl tag. Interesting car. I don't remember this one being sold. Anybody remember what it went for?
There was a '69 T/A 'vert clone sold at BJ Las Vegas this year.

Does this mean it was a Ram Air IV? Or that it was missing its original drivetrain?

Okay, I would have interpreted that as it having the Ram Air III engine as that should have been standard.

I apologize that I am way more familiar with Barrett-Jackson's website than I am with 1st Gen T/A's.

Ah, very cool. That is indeed the same car. White int, stripes over the spoiler, van Nuys built. A couple of things about the car bugged me but I tend to keep my opinions to myself because after somebody spends that kind of dough on a car they don't want to hear from some know it all telling them about this is wrong or that shouldn't be there. It was trully a nice car. I must say that I kind of wish I had been able to park my car next to him to make him a little bit uncomfortable about a few things but the reality is he's probably not even a Pontiac guy so he probably wouldn't have even known what he was looking at. Probably that's just a bit of envy on my part.
This very week. I believe television coverage as supposed to start today on Motortrend.
I was hoping all those auto transporters heading west would get my car back in my garage from the paint shop by now.

I got an invite to check out a local collection yesterday. I had heard about this collection for several years from a friend of mine. There was pre ported to be a ram IV 69TA and one of the 69 TA verts as well. Unfortunately the vert had been sold a few years ago( bummer) but the hard top IV was still there along with a 70 judge ram IV 4sp car a couple sd455s, some off the hook Shelbys, a bunch of killer Mopars and the odd Cyclone or yenko Chevelle. Most of them low mile survivor cars with orig paint still on them. Pretty amazing stuff. It was a fun day.
That wasn't very fair. To verbally describe all that eye candy and not post a single photo????

The guy is understandably protective. He said we could take photos as long as we didn't post them on the Internet. I didn't take any pics so I wouldn't be tempted. The owner has a penchant for big block and 4sp cars along with low mileage survivor cars. My fav was a low mile 69GT500 drop top 428CobraJet. Friggin amazing.
