I'm interested in finding a 67 HO motor. The one from my car was blown up( I assume) and replaced with a 68 400 before I bought it. I know the 400 is more desirable but if it was financially convenient I wouldn't mind putting the HO motor back in the car. If anybody has a line on one in whatever condition let me know.

A 326 HO is what was available on a 67 correct? 400 HO came out in 68.

Yup. Sorry. I should've been more specific. I'm sure when/ if I go to sell it I'll probably get more out of it( or at least have an easier time) with the 400 under the hood but if I had my choice I'd rather have the original configuration. It's probably not really worth the effort since it wouldn't be the motor that came with the car. But still...if I could find one I'd seriously consider it.
Well, since it wouldn't be the original engine anyhow, you could get a square bore iron intake and put an AFB carb on it, so it would LOOK more like a 326HO. Most 400's came with either a 2-barrel or a Q-jet.
If you REALLY want a 326, you can find some by asking on bigger Pontiac forums & some of the Pontiac Facebook sites. If interested, I can post a list of 'em.
Many 326's have been scrapped. BUT, there are some guys who never throw away any Pontiac engine parts.
Here's a square bore intake. But, you can probably find lots of 'em cheaper, on Pontiac sites.
