hi all,my son has a 1967 firebird,he has just had the engine fully rebuilt, its the 326 engine, when he bought the car ,it had a pair of exhaust headers fitted on,would like to change these to the stock exhaust manifolds, trying to find out if any of the early 350 manifolds would fit the cylinder heads on the 326.?any information about this please
From memory, I believe the (log) exhaust manifolds were all the same, even the 400's. Not 100% sure, but pretty sure. But obviously the date codes were different.
I used to be indecisive. Now I'm not sure. Yes the manifolds are pretty much the same, but as discussed in an earlier thread some have the missing mount holes on the ends, but will still work. I have a box of old Pontiac manifolds and I think there might even be one in there with three flange studs. But had never seen that before..??
