Huh. The ones they sell at Classic seem to claim they are the 5500 redline version. I have to wonder because I bought one Saturday that is a new OER and it's 5200. Wouldn't be the first time hey had misleading information in their ad I suppose.
The 67 OHC 6 would have had a higher redline than 5500. Looks like you have the 69 housing so I presume you have a 69? In 69, no V8s had 5500, they were all 5200 redline tachs and yeah, only the 6-cyl for 69 had the 5500.
Maybe the RA III & IV would have been exceptions and had a 5500 for 69, but I don't think so.
