I have a '68 AC car that no longer has AC and I do not plan to put AC back in the car since I'm moving to Iceland in a few months. I'm rebuilding my car but I'm a bit confused. Non AC cars seem to have just a heater duct but still have left/right vent balls but I've only seen ducts running to both vent balls on AC cars.
Am I missing something or are the vent balls on non AC cars just for show?
Thx.

The vent balls without A/C have a duct that goes up to an inlet in the cowl area. Not sure if the opening is there with A/C cars or not. Might have a block off plate or cover of some sort.
