planning for a winter project already and like to put in something like Vintage Air myself for a 69 vert without factory air. Anyone done this here, so I may bounce off some questions before I reach out to some vendors? The car is not so stock with a Speedtech subframe and LS6 engine (not the big block but the 5.7 EFI). I've read it takes anywhere from 20-50 hrs to install depending on experience. So I'll pad myself with 100 hrs. I should get that done in the 3-4 months it stays in the garage in the winter...
I did an older vintage unit in my 69. Easiest to pull the front seats and gut the dash so you have room to work. The ducting is tough to get all stuffed in behind the glove box and gauge panel but it’s doable. Not a real difficult job but time consuming for sure. One thing you might want to do is replace all the bulbs in your dash with new while you can because after it goes back together you’re not getting to any of them unless it comes back apart.

yeah, people have pointed out that the duct work is the most time consuming. What's the reason the needs to be removed? Is that where the hoses and wires are run?
I went with the vintage 555 AC. Five fingers at 55mph. Relatively easy install but results very greatly by user. Of course I screwed up and ordered the right handed model. I guy just can't win sometimes!

Lol, you had me there for a bit. Actually going to forego the project and work on the interior instead. Not sure how much heat or A/C I'll really need here in NJ. Look for my new thread on rebuilding seats!
