New to the forum. Limited experience working on cars, but I do have some help. I have a 67 convertible F-type. Wanting to upgrade the rear suspension. Going to be a summer car, not for shows, so don't want to break the bank on suspension. Any ideas would be appreciated. I did some looking at the FatMan Wonderbar set up. Anyone have any experience or info on that? Thanks.
Just wondering why you want to "upgrade"? Doesn't look like you have big plans, just a solid driver? How hard do you plan on driving this thing? Is the current rear in ill repair?
Basically you have leaf springs and shocks. One or both is probably tired if has not been replaced. Both are fairly straight forward swap for new or "upgraded" version. Consider that your ride height may change.
67 had mono leaf spring. Can upgrade to multi leaf. Others can tell you if changing to multi leaf is direct swap. Lots of shock options. But think about how stiff of a ride you want. Add a rear sway bar? Now you will need that help you are talking about.
Thanks for replying to my post. From what I have been reading, the stock mono spring set up is a little soft when cornering. I don't plan on racing, but I do like to enjoy the drive.
