Hey guys, I checked my alignment and found my toe-in was 1/2" off on the passenger side. I tried to adjust the tie rod sleeves but do not have enough adjustment to bring to specs. I'd like to be close before getting it professionally aligned. Any ideas?
Adjust the other tie rod to get the overall toe-in close. 1/2 inch is pretty far off. You might have to drive with the wheel way off but it should get you there. Don’t drive too fast. Not comfortable, tow it. Make sure you tell the guy doing the alignment all the work done so they don’t make make any assumptions.
Thanks, that's the plan to do the other side to see where I'm at, also wondering since I dropped the rear end to do a differential upgrade if the rear isn't centered up and in there correctly. Will have to check that as well. I believe you just make sure the pins on the leaf springs are centered in the brackets, or is there more to it?
Had the same issue. One side was adjusted way in and the other way out to get the steering wheel straight. Disconnected the steering column from the flex joint, turned it 180, and reconnected. Readjusted toe and now both sides are equally adjusted with a straight steering wheel.
