To remove the lock cylinder you will need a small screwdriver. Use it to press down the tab inside the hole at the top of the lock assembly.
While pressing down the tab with the small screwdriver, pull the lock cylinder out. This is made easier if you have the key inserted in the cylinder. But like this door, the key wasn’t available. Without the key the tumblers won’t fall and you may have to wiggle the cylinder out.
Once the cylinder is removed you do need a large hex drive to remove the lock bezel. Pehaps someone knows the size hex drive to use? I’m sure a locksmith would know. I have had luck with a large screwdriver. But you must be careful not to bugger up the inside of the lock.
Wow, mine seemend to be much easier. I just applied pressure to the bezel with my thumb and unscrewed the lock cylinder with my other hand. It was definitely easier with the glove box door removed.

Yea the door in my convertible was easy to unscrew. I have a '68 door and the '69 door in the pics that the lock assembly didn't want to budge. That’s why I suggested the large screwdriver.
That bezel must have been stuck in the paint. They usually come right off. I see it actually remained stuck in the paint after the lock was removed. Amazing! I remember in the old days we used the door to put our fast food on when eating in the car. Maybe some Coca Cola dribbled down into that hole and stuck the bezel to the door.

Are those circular depreshions in the door back cup holders? I remember those days to Jim. Mostly used when at the drive-in theater.
