I am putting my 400 HO motor back together and wanted to see if someone could take a pic of how the fulel line mounts coming from the fuel pump to the carb. think there has to be a mounting bracket somewhere

or maybe its just hard piped up and has no mounts just floats

No brackets or mounts, just connects to fuel pump and carb...

Easiest to go with pre bent lines.

X2. You can get a line from OEM pump to carb.
Note: you need filter inside carb fitting

Try to get both pump and line from same vendor.
Be careful, some of the pumps have output fitting
in wrong position. Bent pipe needs to match loc
of pump and carb.

Weaving the pre-bent fuel line up through the maze of stuff is like one of those mind teaser puzzles. I've done it three or four time and each time I do it I scratch my head and swear. And then magically is slides up through and all is well. I keep wondering if there is a trick to this.

Sounds like you found the trick. Otherwise unbolt the assesories bracket

Here is the trick...back the car onto the street, take pants off, proceed to insert prebent line thru largest opening, turning as you push it deeper towards the female fitting on your mate. Tighten up the nuts and run some gas down the pipes. lol
