Not sure about polishing. Can you rechrome them? Look at this process...

Interesting, I'll look into it some more. I believe the moldings are aluminum. Wonder if Eastwood sells something similar....

If you can get primer to stick to it then it will work with the chrome paint. May vendors in this space I expect.

If the moldings are stainless steel as I believe they are one can easily tap out dents and file and sand the high spots. After that its a matter of buffing with various grades of rouge with various buffing wheels. I use an Eastwood buffer and their buffs and compunds. For something long like a rocker moulding, I'd tape it to board so it won't over flex and bend.

I don't think the lower rocker molding or the wheel molding was ever stainless. They were always aluminized.

I have 65 Pontiac's with stainless steel molding.
