First Generation Firebird

Happy New Year to all. Finally completed my 400 build. Found one from a 71 Catalina. Tore it down. Had a machine shop do the short block. Found rebuilt 6x-4 heads. Really happy with the results. Still working the kinks out. Here are some pics.

I’m doing a 455. Would have preferred a 400.

That’s awesome. I pulled it out of the garage. Pulled it right back in. Need to adjust the rockers, carb, etc . It’s been an awesome learning experience. Hopefully in a few days I can get them adjusted and drive it. I still need to install my frame connectors. Good luck with yours. That’s gonna be sweet. Your car sure does look good. Body and paint will be next for me. (Couple years). Lol

Mine is a 20 footer. It sometimes photographs well.
