I have owned this car since 2017 and bought it from a member on this forum. It is a numbers matching 400 and 4 speed manual transmission with factory A/C . The car is in Las Vegas.
I have PHS docs that I have included as well as all paperwork I received when I bought it. The car was a California car all it’s life until I brought it to Las Vegas 7 years ago.
The previous owner owned it for 6 years and brought it home from San Jose, which is near the original Pontiac dealer in Fresno, CA. The person he bought it from inherited it from his uncle who said he was the original owner The engine is a WU code with 670 heads. I put an edelbrock intake and carb on it, along with exhaust, and coilovers on the front.
The Good: #’s matching engine and 4-speed trans It sounds absolutely fantastic Color is Tyrol Blue Both engine and trans have been rebuilt. The engine was bored .30 over and runs warm if driven hard.
The Bad: There is a power vampire somewhere: If I leave the battery connected it will be drained after 1-2 weeks (I drive it only on weekends). The A/C needs a compressor and probably some other misc parts. I have the brackets however. The driver side visor tends to flop down. The mirror does the same even when the screw is tightened. The rear armrest panels and window cranks need to be finished and installed (I have the fabric and paint) I put a chip in the hood (I have the matching paint) The coilovers in the front should be adjusted 3/8” higher to avoid rubbing (I have the wrench but I like the stance) The radio is new but there is no sound. I don’t believe the speaker is connected) Needs the badge on the glovebox (which sticks). These are available but I don’t have it Needs the “Pontiac” badge on the grill (I have the one I broke trying to install it)
I purposely listed more bad than good. It’s not a show car by any means, but it is awfully nice.
I was going to post the PHS docs but it looks like I’ve reached my limit of pictures. Heads look up and thumbs fly into the air from people walking down the street. I have 55K into it and am asking $42k obo.
29k mile last plated in Cali in 1981 plate still on car. Have Cali title in hand.
No rot...was in desert for 31 years.
Original motor, trans, water pump..distributor, rebuilt amd redyed 7028271 carb and correct 3138 5325 Hurst with correct shift rods. Hood tach car, black deluxe interior, bird glass. Original 3.55 rear. Original intake. Verdoro green car. Comes with a LOT of NOS parts as well as the original flex fan, 2 sets long branch manifolds. Still has grease pencil markings from factory.
The engine is out and apart and will need a rebuild. I will entertain, as part of the deal, cleaning and magging the block as part of the deal.
This is a project car...a numbers matching 400 4 speed HO from California with NO rust.
I am not negotiable because what extra you get is worth more than the cars value.
If I still have your attention...
I will entertain questions at t_grzywacz @ hotmail or pm me with a number and we will talk.
I will add additional to the pot but the price is firm. I have a lot of additional parts i will throw in...but I wont go any lower than 28k
I prefer we meet and talk and get to know where each other is coming from...its my baby and reluctant to sell, but she needs a home that will do her justice.
IMO its an easy project, sans the additional investment.
