Windshield PPG DW688 - a replacement windshield? - Firebird Classifieds & Forums (1967, 1968, and 1969)

I've attached a picture from my '68 FB. From all that I've read it is a replacement, isn't it? Actually it is in a condition to good to be original.
Furthermore, the other windows have a two or three digit PPG logo. So the last one is the year and the preceding one(s) represent the month, correct? They are from 12/67 and 01/68 which fits to my Firebird.
