In case you missed the GM announcement yesterday, the Lordstown Assembly Plant is one of the 5 slated for closure. I read that it has been open since 1966 and many of our FGF's were built there.

Both of my '68s were built in Lordstown. I should have stopped by there when I lived in Ohio.

Yep that’s correct sometime next year it will close
50 plus years of building car and trucks
think of all the history at that plant and who knows what historic things from the past are at that plant
I’ve been to the ford assembly plant in Chicago and they have some interesting things from the past their
What a devistating blow to GM and all of the works at these plants
My 69 Firebird came off that line

Reminds me once again of the video I posted on 3-1-18 “The last Pontiac”.

A little late to the game, but mine is a Lordstown build. Really sad, Lordstown is the last of the FGF plants, to still be producing vehicles.

Lord's here also. I thought it was so cool to drive past the Lordstown plant that I snapped off a few pics with the cell phone doing 75 (yikes).
The bad thing is that stupid auto they were making there at the time and hung a big a$$ banner on the front of the building. That building could be saved by making some real Pontiacs in it now.
