I bought a 69 FB with the rally gauge cluster in the dash with the fuel gauge, not the stacked gauges.

At 200F, the gauge reads exactly 1/2 way on the scale that ranges from 100 to 250. That seems too high, I was expecting about 175F in the center of the gauge. (100+250)/2 Can anyone tell me what the ohm range is supposed to be for the temp sensor?

Where can I buy the correct rally temp sensor? I saw mention in a post but the link was dead.

What do you guys expect the center range of the gauge to be temp wise on your cars?

Thank!

These 50 year old electric gauges and senders are notoriously off. You'd be better off installing and updated digital gauge and sender. Keep the original but at least you'll know exactly what your temp is. No guessing.

I think with the correct sensor and my heat gun I can determine where the engine is running and relate it to the gauge. Knowing the ohm range of the original sensor would really simplify the process.
