Looking to get a New convertible top for my 67 in Columbus Ohio area. I need just about everything but weather strip and middle bow retainer. Thinking of going original with top material and plastic window no zipper. Need tack strip, tack bar, well liner, pads cables etc. I got three quotes from shops with good reputations but I haven't seen their work. Quotes range from $1700 to $ 2800. Just wondering what others think is a fair price? Really want it done right but quote range surprised me.
Last one I had done was $1100, and I provided the new top and pads. That was six or seven years ago, so $1700 with them supplying everything sounds ballpark. $2800 sounds high.
I used to be indecisive. Now I'm not sure.
