when I needed mine, I found that the local auto parts store carried the ignition switch for less than Classic. They had it the next day.
Not sure about the lock set. That seems like a reasonable price for a set. It does not show the glove box lock though, so you would have to have that one re-keyed.
By the way, aren't you tired from the weekend?

right on cat, I will try napa tomorrow,I thought the trunk and gbox were the same, doors and ignition the same?
I knew my cry for help would be lost in my chatter post, so I came here, thank you very much
I am not sure about those for the 67 thought. I was unable to find the correct key style for the 67 listing. Not sure if they are the same as a 68. You'll need to check on that.

cat, that's the same one I bought for my 68 just before she was hit. Fit and worked perfectly and as you stated, they had it for me the very next day...
Can someone point me to the instructions for removing the entire ignition switch from the dash?
Thanks again
JM
Seems like I always have to mess with it for 15 minutes before I figure out the secret then it doesn't work the second time. You need to put a paper clip in the small hole of the cylinder and turn it backwards 45 deg I think.
First, you are supposed to remove the cylinder. You do this by turning the key to the left and putting the cylinder in the accessory mode. Then, take a paper clip, straiten it out and push it into the pin hole. Push hard, the cylinder will pop out. Then, remove the bezel/nut. Pull the switch from the back and that's it. Unplug the harness connection and replace. All in all, 5-10 minute job...
I never realized until a couple of weeks ago when I replaced my ignition switch bezel/nut on the LeMans that the cylinder is supposed to be removed BEFORE the bezel/nut. I know on the Bird I did not do this and it made the bezel/nut very tough to remove as the face of the cylinder is larger than the opening in the bezel/nut by just a hair. What happens is the bezel/nut tries to thread itself on the shiny tin cylinder face/cover and makes it very difficult to remove and thus ruining the threads on the bezel/nut. Hence the reason I had to replace mine...
