I installed a new electric fuel on the lower right side on the fuel tank, new fuel line and regulator etc. So the entire fuel system in dry. I turned the electric pump on for 4 or 5 min and no fuel was being drawn from the tank. I'm thinking of running a line from the pump inlet side to a gas can directly below the pump to get fuel in the lines and engine. Any sugestions? The car is a 68 bird w/ a 455 and 750 Holley. Thanks Steve

I have no idea what kind of electric pump you installed, but I clipped this quote from an instruction sheet for the Holley Blue:
"The pump is designed to push fuel and not designed to suck fuel out of the tank. It needs to be gravity-fed or if it’s pulling from the top of the tank, it needs to develop a siphon feed to the pump."
So basically Holley is saying you got the expected result from your install.
Priming is absolutely necessary for most electric pumps, and running the pump on a dry line is likely your only problem.
Thanks for te info felles, I Realized I installed the pump backwards... My bad. LOL I turned the pump in the right direction and she sucked from the tank and pushed it to the motor in less than 30 sec. But now the (cheap) regulator is now leaking. I guess their is always something.
