Big thanks for getting the website updated and starting the Premium membership function. I believe in supporting this site as it is a wealth of information for the hobby I enjoy so much. This place has certainly brought together a great group of people.
I have posted this as a concern about the function of posting pictures and the limit on file size. For me, I am having bad luck in getting the file sizes I am trying post to conform to the limits set. The limits are just too small. I have tried in vain to downsize the files to get them to agree with the limitation only to get the warning message they're again just a touch too big.
I know that it eats up bandwidth and costs more money to increase the load but as you can see there are few pictures being posted by members. If we could see about making this process a little more friendly we would all be more successful in sharing information.
Just need a free ap to shrink the file without losing the quality. The small size improves the speed in which the pages come up when you have embedded pics.
Try this: This picture was 4.2 megs, and notice the white-out on the bottom left area, at the boarder. I opened the picture in "paint," and dragged the large size erasure in that area. The picture is now 1.80 megs. Other than "washing off" a small area, it has the exact same pixleation as it when it was 4.2 megs. By the way, I'm not computer literate, but could you imagine if i were?
