Looking to get some new redline tires to have the correct look for my 1968 vert, what tire ratio should I get for my 14" wheels?

I just picked up two sets for my 'birds from Diamondback. (they had a sale through 1/15)
Went with Diamondback III's (Radial T/A's) in 22570R14.
Just need some spring weather now!

225-70-14s might be a little big. I've got 225-70-14s on my goat. 215-70-14 might be a better choice for a bird. I've had 205's on my bird and they look pretty good but a hair small. I think the 205's are the closest to what these cars came with. My opinion...
Ok thanks for the info, now I just need to find a deal on a set of redlines

Bob is correct. 205 is the original 'stock' conversion width. But 225-14 should fit without any issues. (with stock suspension)

68 stock redline tires; E70X14; F70X14; 195RX14 radial. were the stock tires for 68. They are 26" dia. the same as my 235/60R15 BFG, A 70/r14 in 225 may be close to that.
I am just looking for what will result in correct look and fit. I made mistake with current temporary replacement rims not having enough backspace as they rub wheel wells. I just bought set of restored rims that I am going to put on with correct tires, only want to buy tires once!
