Hello, as my subject line states I'm in the market for a 67 convertible. 326 is preferred but 400's are welcome too. The car will not be a show piece to take out on Sundays. I will drive it as often as I possibly can. My only real concern is that I don't want to have to do body work. Let me know if you, or someone you know is willing to part with one.
What is your price range? Obviously the cheaper the better, but....
You could talk to Gus68 here on the site, he's up in Canada as well and has a lot of experience with birds. He might know where to hunt local to you.

Thanks for the info. In terms of price range, I would be expecting to pay between 10-14 for a non matching numbers car. 17-22 for one that is matching. Do you guys think that is attainable?

Not without needing A LOT of work... Probably need to bump those numbers $2-$5k.
You probably could have bought one for that 5 years ago, unlikely today.

I am considering selling my 67' convert. The 400/4-speed car is not numbers matching but is period correct and legit CA car with solid bones, straight body and no rust. The original owner transplanted a complete HO 400 set up from 67' GTO (block, manifold, heads, distributor, carb, air cleaner) into the the Firebird which per PHS docs was originally manufactured as a 326 w/4-speed. The transmission, rear end, etc. are all original to the car. You can email me at seanscott55@hotmail.com if you are interested in learning more.
