Been on/off the forums for a while. The bird is in storage, and coming out in May. Got a lot going on here, as I have a lot of hobbies and things to do (getting married in May, and I own 4 businesses).. Number one on my list is the one that I suck at the most, which is this.. I'll have my kitchen remodel finished in about 3 weeks, so I must have something to do. Here's what is going to happen---
Through absolute dumb luck, I now have access to a CNC machine. Now, I am spending some time designing what I have always wanted.... First Gen Firebird spark plug wire holders. I am going to use the First Gen Firebird, mill it out of aluminum, high head spray correct colors and heat clear coat it. If anyone is interested in the design process, or seeing what's being made or wants a set, please post here, I'll keep up on the status.

Not to drag this up from the dead, but he HURCO machine was delivered yesterday, only 5 months late. Electrician and plumber are scheduled first week of December. OEM team arrives second week of December to assemble, calibrate and bring in tolerances.
I am going to guess I can start milling these out Mid January. So, I'll start rough designing, and posting what I have. I plan on making as many of them as I can, and making them available here first. . All input will be appreciated.

One thought...I was putting wires back on yesterday and my original wire holders aren't big enough for my 8mm or 8.8mm ( can't remember exactly) wires that I run. I can weasel them into the holders but I'm always afraid the insulation is going to get compromised/cut or at the very least pinched. It would be nice if the new holders had some provision for different sized wires. Even something simple like split rubber grommets that would go over the wire would allow for different sizes to be used. Not sure what size original wires are. Just a thought.
Good thought. I'll put that on my list.. Quick search, and you can get 7, 8 and 9mm grommets for plug holders. I'll have to pick some up to see what the measurements look like.
