Just looked out the window to see my neighbor with his 2017 vet with the tire off reaming a hole in it to install a plug, what a dumb azz. Maybe his payments are so high that he can't afford to have the tire removed and patched.
A plug in summer tires is a no no and only a temp fix. Since Vettes and Camaros dont have spares..perhaps he got a reamer and plug just to get it patched?
I wouldn't even plug one of my run flats unless it was a dire emergency.

If done correctly, installing a plug in a tire breaks more cords than the object itself. A plug on a high speed rated tire is especially bad. Buy a performance car, pay a performance price.
Didn't recent models of Corvettes go "run flat" across the board? Or was that just a passing fad?
