This has now happened to me twice under the almost identicle circumstances. While starting from a stop and making a left turn, leeting the clutch out and accelerating, the Z-Bar wile disengage from the engine ball stud and clutch pedal goes to floor. One the 2nd incident the cars accelerator opened up forcing me to shutdown engine. All motor mounts look fine, zbar parts look good...anyone elase ever experience this?
If you've got the correct z bar length, and correct (longer) ball stud on the block side, and the motor mounts are good. Check also the trans mount. If that's good inspect the ball stud on the frame mount. It has plastic keepers on the sides of the ball and spring clips to keep it from moving in or out of the z bar unlike the block side that moves in and out freely.
