Considering selling my 1967 Pontiac Firebird, 400 /4-Speed. CA car. PHS document available.
Per PHS car was built as 326 /4-speed - but a 400 engine from 67" GTO was transplanted into car at some point (including heads, manifold, carb, cleaner, distributor, etc.). I believe that the 400 has the high output option but I have yet to test /confirm hp and torque.
Key Features: - Manufactured in Lordstown, OH, delivered to Santa Monica, CA, 1 of 587 produced, - 400 CID engine / 10.75 compression ratio (YT code, 9786133 cast code), - 4 BBL Quadrajet carb (7037262), H.O. heads (E177, 670s), - Muncie 4-speed manual /floor shift transmission w/console (F code, 9783393 cast code), - Safe-T-Track rear axle (UT code, 3.23 gear ratio, posi traction), - Ride-and-handling package (upgraded shocks, etc.), - Traction bars and cocktail shakers (for traction and balance), - Rally gauge cluster and hood mounted tachometer, - Custom steering wheel, - Dual exhausts, - Power steering, - Power convertible top, - Soft ray glass (i.e. tinting), etc.
Cosmetics: Solid weekend driver. Unmolested with most if not all original /stock parts. Straight body with no evidence of material accident(s). No rust on body panels, trunk, nor undercarriage beyond minimal surface rust on small sections of undercarriage. Car was originally Fathom Blue and was repainted in Regimental Red (and properly done). Paint has patina and needs repaint /refinish to complete restoration.
Mechanics: Drive train rebuilt several years back - runs very well, no known engine or transmission issues. Suspension recently updated with new shocks, body bushings, steering components and cross brace for improved rigidity. Engine compartment, trunk, etc. recently restored and detailed. Interior recently restored with new floor pans, bed liner coating and sound proofing and carpeting and new seat covers. New convertible top and trim.
Other Factors: Not sure what fair market value is on this car - but do believe it is unique based upon condition, provenance, options, solid bones and limited remaining work to complete restoration. I believe that I am the third owner but conducting title search to confirm. I also believe that car has relatively low miles as the prior /second owner claimed to have car for the past 28 years and driven it very little.
Car is located in NorCal and is stored in climate controlled garage. Let me know if you have any interest. And please note that I am representing the car to the best of my knowledge and what I've been able to confirm via PHS and codes matching. If you identify any potential discrepancies I welcome the feedback as I get great value from this forum and do not want to misrepresent this car in anyway.

Yes, agreed it looks nice. I’ll be the “downer†of the crowd. You state the PHS indicates 326, that car was repainted non-original color, new floor pans etc. All of that pretty much reduces the provenance to zero. I would think you could list for low 20’s and expect to end up in the teens somewhere...

I think the seller would have a fighting chance of 23k if he bought white letter tires and actually bought the correct center caps. Otherwise...it won't even bring 20k.
