Have a brand new set of OEM style mufflers for sale. The have the exact configurations and dimensions as the stock units of 69 Trans Ams and 67-69 Firebirds. Had them custom made. They were made in Canada and sound quality is superior with the OEM deep tone rumble but not extreme loud. I decided to go aftermarket "loud", rather than stock. $160 plus shipping and they're yours.
I thought the '67-'69s all used transverse mufflers?

The mufflers/resonators are still available. They are the exact same size as the original and tuck neatly into the back seat cavity. You cannot find these in the aftermarket and most are either 2-4" too long, too wide or too tall. These were custom made by a reputable exhaust mfg. in Canada that makes these style mufflers for the 69 T/As and high end Ram Air birds and restorations. These will give you the original slight rumble that will not get annoying after while. Especially if you have a ragtop. I bought them a year ago and decided to leave my current aftermarket set-up alone. It took 3 months to make and cost me around $200 plus shipping, I'll sell them for $160 plus shipping (~$30) Paypal OK.
