I recently purchased a '67 Convertible which has been updated with a nice modern touch and that is a 2002 LS1 engine (please no screaming from those that think it is wrong). It does have the advantage of great gas mileage plus the added horsepower. My question is I would like to see how the car was built from the factory, i.e. what color was it, what engine it came with, the rear end, etc. I am pretty sure it came with a black interior. Is there a source that I can type in my vin number and it will tell me everything. The data plate is missing which I am sure would have given me what I am looking for, but I was hoping the vin would help.
