Hi Guys, I have read I think all the past posts on the forum but the pictures of the connection to the Qjet have me wondering. My super turbine in my 1968 Firebird 350 is leaking profusely and I have a none leaking supposed rebuilt BOP th350 and torque converter that I acquired. So I understand I need either the Lokar detent cable for kick down or maybe the factory mid 70’s style cable sold by ames. My question is what bracket on the stock 1968 4bbl intake do I need? and also were on the Carb do I hook it up? Any advice or thoughts or direction would be appreciated. Thanks

If you can't find a suitable original Pontiac kickdown cable bracket & throttle lever, you'll just have to rig up your own, or run without the kickdown cable.
I've read several online debates about whether you can run without the cable hooked up, or not. Many say they have done it for years, without any problem. Some say the trans won't shift right & may damage it. Lots of rebuilt TH350's are sold without a cable.
