Interested in hearing some opinions on running 14" Rally II's on a 69 Firebird. I've had my car about a year and the PO had it set up with 14" x 7"s (70 Series) on the front 15" x 7"s on the rear (60 Series). Sometimes the rears really look out of place and I was thinking about getting 14" x 7"s all the way around. Would also help in not having to carry 2 spares as I currently don't have one. Like the old school 70's on the front 60's on the back, but was wondering if anyone ran with that combination in all 14" Rally II's. would be great if anyone had pictures of running with that combination. Thanks for the help.
I have run any where from 245/50/14 bf Goodrich to the last set I had were 235/60/14 Firestone tires on my rally rims. I finally decided that since you can't buy a decent 14" tire anymore I would give in and go to a more modern size that I could actually replace easily if I had to. I went to a 245/45/17 and when I put them side by side the 17 was about 3/4" shorter. Go figure.
Thanks for the pic. Started to get the remainder of the 14" rally II's ( 1 down / 2 to go) Will need to refinish them, then decide on a tire size, I have 215 / 70 / 14's on the front now. Nice looking bird. Missed out on a convertible that color when I was looking for mine
I currently have 14x6s on the front of my 69 with 225 70s. On the rear 14x7s with 1 in. negative offset and 245s. They fit nicely. Also have some rally lls I won't be using if anyone needs them
